October 18, 2007 - IDT 516 Final Project Journal
These three choices for the final project are a bit of a bear. I've really not had any clear idea which one to choose! Not only that. Now I've got to get a Blog together and journal at least once a week about the process of the Final Project!
Okay....lesseee...I got to choose one of these three options:
- Option 1: Design and Develop a Web 2.0 Lesson Plan
- Option 2: Create and Test an Elearning Evaluation Rubric
- Option 3: Conduct an Online Database Search
I've been thinking about what it is I'm gonna do for the final project for the last 3 days! Which one would be best for me to do? I'm just not sure any of 'em fit. I'm thinkin' I could come up with a rubric and it would benefit me how? I could design and develop a web 2.0 lesson plan...hmmm. Now there's a possibility that might be beneficial down the road. Dr. West did say it might be that an option could be applied or used in another course. If I could come up with a good lesson web 2.0 lesson plan for learning CSS that might be something I can use in another upcoming class...hmmm. Of course I could conduct an online database search to support the web 2.0 lesson plan...hmmm. And a rubric could be...nah...this is getting too carried away! It'd be fun if I could get all three options done but the time factor doesn't allow for it. Gotta make a decision on this and I've been tossin' it around in my head for the last 3 or 4 days now. As much as I wanna be able to work with CSS more, maybe makin' a lesson plan for it wouldn't be such a bad idea but it's more personal of a goal and I'm not a teacher...hmmmm.

Ok, so thank goodness I'm not the only one who couldn't decide. I'm doing the research project, but with the options, it's hard to feel like you're not missing out on something once you choose one.
Yeah, I agree about missing out on something. There'll probably be an opportunity later or we'll realize that we really didn't miss out on something.
I decided on the research project too because it seems I have been writing a lot of lesson plans in other classes. I have gotten better at it though with practice.
